Hidden behind bougainvillea and lush greenery on one of La Jolla's most enchanting streets, this extraordinary Tuscan villa is unlike any home you've ever stayed in. Set just a short stroll from the legendary Windansea Beach, this is a 3-bedroom, artfully decorated retreat where every corner tells a story and every space invites you to slow down and savor the moment. From the beautifully manicured secret garden courtyard to sweeping Pacific Ocean views from the upstairs bedrooms, this home is as much an experience as it is an accommodation. Whether you're here for a beach escape, a family gathering, or simply to live beautifully for a few days in La Jolla, the Monte Vista Villa will leave a lasting impression.

Step through the wrought iron gate and into a world of warmth, character, and effortless elegance. This Tuscan-inspired home is filled with thoughtfully curated décor — every piece intentional, every room layered with personality and soul.
The Main Living Level opens into a richly appointed formal dining room anchored by a one-of-a-kind hand-painted circular ceiling fixture that acts as the crown jewel of the room — candlelit evenings here feel like a scene from another world. The chef's kitchen is fully equipped for serious cooking and casual entertaining alike, flowing naturally into the living spaces.
The Lower Living Room & Game Room is an entertainer's paradise — a full-size pool table takes center stage, flanked by plush seating, a dramatic stone fireplace, and a wall of built-in bookshelves glowing with curated objects and art. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open directly to the private Tuscan garden, blurring the line between indoors and out.
The Tuscan Garden Courtyard is pure magic. Enclosed by towering hedges and lush greenery, this fully private outdoor sanctuary features a stone-tiled patio, a built-in BBQ and outdoor kitchen, a lion fountain, a dining table set for alfresco feasts, and lounge seating surrounded by flowering plants and climbing vines. You feel completely secluded — a secret garden in the heart of La Jolla.
The Enchanted Terrace — accessed from the upstairs living space — is the showstopper guests never forget. A magnificent mature tree stretches its branches overhead, adorned with hanging Moroccan lanterns and delicate heart ornaments that catch the light and create the most whimsical, romantic atmosphere imaginable. As the sun sets and the lanterns begin to glow, this terrace transforms into something truly magical. A fire pit table and plush wicker seating with a hanging egg chair complete this one-of-a-kind outdoor living space. Gather here after a day at the beach, pour a glass of wine, and let the evening unfold — this is the kind of place that becomes the memory guests talk about long after they've gone home.
The Upstairs Living Room offers a comfortable second gathering space with a sleeper sofa — perfect for families or groups needing extra sleeping room.
The Bedrooms:

Master Suite (Upstairs) — An en suite haven with a dramatic four-poster canopy bed, Venetian plaster walls, ocean views framed perfectly through a large picture window, and a sitting chaise for quiet mornings with coffee in hand.
Second Upstairs Bedroom (En Suite) — Bright, serene, and beautifully appointed with a queen bed and its own ocean view — guests here wake up to the Pacific every morning.
Downstairs Bedroom — A cozy queen bedroom on the main level, ideal for guests who prefer single-floor living.
Downstairs Office — A quiet workspace with a view straight into the lush Tuscan garden — a genuinely inspiring place to work.

The grand staircase, crowned by a vintage candelabra chandelier and lit by a skylight above, connects the levels with old-world drama that sets the tone for the entire home.
